Better Together: Introducing Our Tanium Partner Advantage Program

This month at CONVERGE 2019, we hosted our first ever Tanium Global Partner Summit, and also introduced Tanium Partner Advantage, a new partner program designed for simplicity, predictability and profitability.

Tanium Partner Advantage is designed to unlock benefits through measurement of Total Partner Value, which considers a partner’s relationship with Tanium across financial performance, the building of expertise, investment and growth, and customer success.

As Tom Herrmann, Tanium Global Vice President, Alliances & Channels, explained: “The reality of the channel today is that partners are less focused on what they label themselves and more focused on how best to help their customers solve their business problems. We recognize how much our partners have evolved their businesses, and we have built Tanium Partner Advantage to give partners flexibility to fully support their customers across various business models.”

Tom was joined by Tanium co-CEOs Orion Hindawi and Fazal Merchant and Chief Revenue Office Thomas Stanley at the inaugural Global Partner Summit in Nashville ahead of CONVERGE 2019 to discuss the 2020 vision and strategy for Tanium, and how our partners are a driving force in achieving this.

Tanium partners joined the stage for an insightful discussion into best practices when it comes to partnering with software organizations. Magali Bohn from Chronicle also spoke about past and current market trends, and how they are driving customer needs. Neal Hirsch from PwC U.S. shared how partners are using Tanium to address customer needs and business challenges, and Mike McGlynn from WWT and Thomas Meier from InfoGuard explained how they are creating real outcomes for customers through their Tanium partnership.

With almost 100 partners assembled, it was a real pleasure listening to the excitement and interest shown in the new Tanium Partner Advantage program.

We enable our partners based on the business models they’re employing across the customer journey, from influencing the buying decision to providing ongoing managed services. Three things will happen during the first phase of the new program:

  • Training and enablement will be available to all partners to ensure high skill levels
  • A personalized portal experience will be accessible, fully customized for each partner employee and their role in the partnership
  • A clearly defined rewards-based approach to partner progression with no prohibitive thresholds around training and other measurements

Tanium Partner Advantage will be available to Tanium partners in the first quarter of our fiscal year 2020.
