Tanium Accelerates Global Expansion Fueled by Explosive Demand

Emeryville, Calif., June 8, 2015 – Tanium, the company that continues to redefine security and systems management, today announced the expansion of operations to both EMEA and Asia Pacific in response to surging global demand for Tanium. Today, Tanium also opened its Washington, D.C. office to further expand the company’s rapidly growing public sector footprint.

The recently updated Forbes Global 2000 list demonstrates the massive opportunities that exist for Tanium to bring its game-changing technology to companies around the globe. In Asia alone, there are almost 700 companies on the list, with Japan ranking third overall. Europe has almost 500 companies on the list, with the United Kingdom ranking fourth overall. These global organizations are all dealing with business and competitive threats from a variety of vectors – from cyber attackers and new waves of hackers to emerging competitors disrupting established markets through the use of modern technology. Tanium is the only platform that empowers these companies with 15-second visibility and control over every endpoint, even across the largest global networks, helping them optimize their business operations and stay a step ahead of security attacks.

Tanium has established its EMEA headquarters in London, United Kingdom, and has hired Richard Olver as VP of Europe. Richard was previously Vice President and General Manager of European operations at CipherCloud and has a proven track record establishing the EMEA operations of high-growth emerging technology companies. In Asia Pacific, Geoff Noble joins Tanium as Vice President to build and lead the Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong markets. Geoff, based in Sydney, Australia, was previously Regional Director of Asia Pacific at CipherCloud and prior to that spent over a decade at RSA, the security division of EMC. To round out Asia Pacific, Robert Stevenson has joined Tanium as VP of Japan, based in Tokyo. Robert has over two decades of experience in enterprise software sales and business development in the Japan market, including senior leadership roles at VCE, Avaya, EMC, Dell and BEA Systems (now Oracle Corporation). Tanium has also experienced rapid adoption of its technology in the US government. Ralph Kahn, Vice President of Federal at Tanium, will continue to lead field operations in the federal market.

“The cybersecurity threat does not have geographic boundaries – it is a global problem that is increasing in frequency and severity across organizations in both the private and public sectors,” said Mike Carpenter, President of Global Sales and Field Operations at Tanium. “We are already engaged with half of the Fortune 100 – companies which operate some of the largest and most complex global networks. Establishing our presence in key international markets and accelerating the growth we are already experiencing in the public sector will help us provide even better support to our customers and expand our footprint across the Global 2000.”
