The Service Graph Connector for Tanium has been a reliable and proven way ServiceNow customers keep their CMDB populated with Tanium endpoint data. As environments have grown and AI has accelerated the pace of change, the opportunity became clear: what if the CMDB could reflect that change as it happens, instead of catching up on a schedule?
That's why we've partnered with ServiceNow to introduce two new connectors: Service Graph Connector for Tanium Atlas (opens in a new tab) and Service Graph Connector for Tanium Atlas Endpoints (opens in a new tab). Both are now generally available, and both bring the same core innovation – delta sync – to your ServiceNow CMDB.
What changes with delta sync
Most integrations, including the classic Service Graph Connector for Tanium, keep the CMDB current by pulling a full snapshot of endpoint data on every cycle. It's a reliable model, but it means re-processing the entire inventory each time, even for the endpoints that haven't changed since the last sync.
These new connectors are built on Tanium Gateway, which gives them direct, structured access to Tanium's core data platform rather than routing through the previous Tanium Asset integration. That architecture is what makes delta sync possible: instead of re-pulling everything every cycle, the connector queries for just what's changed since the last sync, such as new endpoints, updated hardware, and software changes. The result is a CMDB that reflects reality faster and more accurately, with less redundant data moving between systems on every run.
Both connectors also bring native support for Microsoft Intune and Tanium Device Management endpoints, so mobile and modern-managed devices are part of that same current picture, rather than a separate process or additional integration bolted on afterward. Setup is streamlined, and administrators can now select exactly which Tanium attributes flow into ServiceNow – directly from within the ServiceNow interface, not through Tanium console configuration.
Why this matters beyond the CMDB
The CMDB is the foundation that many ServiceNow workflows build on, including asset management, change management, incident response, and increasingly, AI-driven operations that need to reason over current data to make accurate recommendations and decisions. Tanium and ServiceNow have been building toward this for a while, feeding real-time endpoint intelligence into ServiceNow's workflow and AI capabilities so that automation and orchestration act on what's actually true right now, not a snapshot from the last import cycle. Delta sync is a foundational piece of the AI-forward future: the more current the CMDB, the more you can trust what's built on top of it.

- Service Graph Connector for Tanium Atlas Endpoints delivers delta sync for Windows and macOS end-user endpoints and mobile devices only (servers excluded). It's built for customers whose ITOM licensing or coverage doesn't extend to every device type.
