Categories of personal information about consumers, including categories of sensitive personal information, to be collected.

  • Identifiers and personal information such as a real name, alias, postal address, telephone number, unique personal identifier, online identifier, Internet Protocol address, email address, or account name.
  • Commercial information such as records of products or services purchased, obtained, or considered by your Employer.
  • Internet activity, such as browsing and search history
  • Approximate location information, such as that inferred from your IP address.
  • Professional or employment related information, such as the name of your employer
  • Inferences drawn from the categories above, such as a profile reflecting a person’s preferences and interests in endpoint management and security solutions.
  • Sensitive data is not collected

The purpose(s) for which the categories of personal information are collected and used.

Data in these categories are used to provide you with the Tanium services, to manage your account, and to respond to your product and support inquiries. Data in this category may also be used for analytics purposes, for targeting and personalized marketing and sales efforts

Whether each category of personal information listed in the California Customer Records statute is sold or shared.

Data in the categories of identifiers, personal information categories, commercial information, approximate location information, and inferences drawn therefrom may be sold or shared with corporate affiliates, vendors, service providers, and third-party business partners (such as distributors, managed services providers, and global system integrators). Data may be disclosed to those parties in order to fulfill product and information requests, to receive and send communications, to update marketing lists, to analyze data, to provide IT and other support services or other similar tasks.

The length of time Tanium intends to retain each category of personal information listed in the California Customer Records statute identified above, or the criteria used to determine the period of time it will be retained.

Tanium stores the personal information collected for as long as you use the Tanium services or as necessary to fulfill the purpose(s) for which it was collected, provide Tanium services, resolve disputes, establish legal defenses, conduct audits, pursue legitimate business purposes, enforce Our agreements, and comply with applicable laws.

Where Tanium is processing your data on our cloud services, Tanium will retain your data in accordance with Tanium’s agreement with the relevant customer.
