We do the right thing

Doing the right thing is one of our core values here at Tanium, and one of many reasons why we have always focused on giving back to our communities. I wanted to share some recent updates that our team is very excited about.

We will be donating 2% of our profit with a focus on educational organizations creating opportunity for youth underserved in our communities and underrepresented in STEM fields. To help us make the best possible impact, we started by partnering with three organizations focused on three key areas:

• Computer Science Teachers Association, dedicated to improving K-12 computer science education by empowering and educating teachers.
• Hour of Code is an initiative by Code.org® dedicated to expanding access to computer science in schools and increasing participation by women and underrepresented minorities.
• Year Up, dedicated to closing the opportunity divide for at-risk youth ages 18 to 24 through skills development, professional experiences and support.

Impacting our local communities

As a global Tanium team, we are spending 2% of our time volunteering in our local communities. Each organization is chosen by a Tanium employee, who then brings together a team of colleagues to help give back. In October, we saw more than 700 team members across three countries and 11 states participate in 21 volunteering events. In just 31 days, the team gave back over 2,000 hours of their time to their chosen organizations!

These activities provide opportunities for us to give back to and engage with our local communities as a team and are part of our ongoing #TaniumGivesBack initiative. We believe we can make a difference in our communities, and I look forward to seeing the impact we can make together.
