Tanium Awarded SLP+ Contract for State of California

We are very pleased to announce that Tanium has been awarded the Software Licensing Program Plus (SLP+) contract for the State of California. Tanium’s unified endpoint management and security platform is immediately available to purchase for all of California’s public sector agencies and institutions.

In January 2019, the State of California’s Department of Technology Office of Information issued the Security Endpoint Protection Standard SIMM 5355-A, indicating that all endpoint security technologies deployed by the state must have certain capabilities for protection, detection, investigation, containment and remediation. To meet SIMM 5355-A requirements, the State of California’s Department of General Services created the SLP+ contract for EDR software to protect against security intrusion.

Tanium can now be leveraged by agencies across California to improve overall IT hygiene and protect against ongoing threats such as ransomware, which, as members of our team noted in a recent conversation with StateScoop, aren’t slowing down. We look forward to growing our strategic partnership with California’s state and local agencies and education institutions and helping ensure instant visibility and control of their endpoints.
