Tanium Celebrates Another Year as One of the Best Companies to Work For

Tanium celebrates two recognitions — 100 Best Companies to Work For and a Great Place to Work in France

Our Culture

For the second year in a row, Tanium has been recognized on FORTUNE’s 100 Best Companies to Work For list. Fortune and its partner, Great Place to Work, has been publishing this list for 25 years. The honorees are culled from the survey data of hundreds of thousands of team members, representing companies that employ millions of people. This year, we have also been recognized as a Great Place to Work in France and Japan in our inaugural year of participating.

Based on three decades of research, Great Place to Work has defined a great workplace as one where team members trust the people they work for, have pride in what they do, and enjoy the people they work with. We wholeheartedly agree, and I think these attributes are closely aligned with Tanium’s core values:

  • Doing the right thing
  • Winning as a team
  • Being unstoppable

Creating and maintaining the culture of a great place to work is a collaborative achievement that requires the commitment of all team members at our company across the globe. It also requires us to operate programs that support our committed team members in every aspect of their lives – not just in delivering outstanding products and services to our customers.

For example, we have a comprehensive benefits and total rewards program that includes equity in Tanium for every full-time employee, uncapped and self-directed paid time off globally, paid volunteering time off, and up to five months of fully paid parental leave in all our countries of operations. We’ve also expanded our offerings to holistically care for our team members through physical (health education seminars and virtual fitness offerings), financial (educations, seminars and free advisory sessions with financial advisors), and mental (access to several mental health resources) wellbeing programs.

We have intentionally built a people-centered culture that includes a modern way of working where team members have the flexibility to work from anywhere. This flexibility, in combination with amazing colleagues across our company, is what allows me to serve as Chief People Officer based outside of the Unites States. Our globally distributed workforce makes it extra important to create an intentional hybrid engagement strategy, including hosting virtual and in-person opportunities for our teams to connect. An example of an in-person opportunity is our recently launched initiative – Tanium Together Days – where we invite our team members to their local office on an organized, regular basis. In fact, today is our first one to celebrate our Great Place to Work achievements!

Tanium operates under the mantra “one team, one mission”, which ensures that everyone, from our most tenured team members to our newest hires, from C-level leaders to early-in-career interns, works toward the same goals and the same mission. That mission is a powerful one — protecting people, defending data, and securing the systems behind the critical infrastructure and services that make up the backbone of our society and economy. A mission as critical as that attracts the best talent, inspires us to do our best work, and contributes to our awesome culture.

Our shared commitment to always do what is right for our customers, our partners, our communities, and each other, to never stop until we achieve what we set out to do, and to do it together is what makes us Tanium. And that is what makes Tanium a great place to work.
