“Tanium gives us deeper visibility and control of our environment, significantly enhancing our ability to make informed decisions.”

CISO State of Hawaii
Good security is IT done well
A risky state needs to secure its endpoints
Of all U.S. states, Hawaii is proven one of the most at risk for cyberattacks. So when Hawaii appointed its first-ever CISO, his to-do list was topped by the need to address and rapidly respond to IT vulnerabilities across the state’s diverse and distributed attack surface.
Tanium ticks all the boxes
Rather than paying consultants for a cybersecurity assessment, Hawaii’s new CISO opted to instead invest in solutions that could do the job. His in-depth research revealed that Tanium ticked all the boxes. Tanium could fully provide the visibility and control Hawaii’s CISO needed.
Widespread adoption, big-time transformation
As much as Hawaii’s CISO liked Tanium, he could not force state agencies to adopt it. Each of Hawaii’s IT groups adds software at their own discretion. Yet in just nine months, Tanium was deployed on some 8,200 endpoints across 26 of Hawaii’s government agencies. And because Tanium is so easy to use, new hires are being quickly trained to use it, helping to bolster the state’s startup mentality.
