Tara Ryan

Tara Ryan brings over 30 years of global marketing leadership across enterprise technology, SaaS, and cybersecurity. Her career spans high-growth startups, IPO-stage ventures, and public companies, with a proven track record in driving brand leadership, category creation, and scalable revenue growth.

Prior to joining Tanium, Tara served as CMO for several fast-moving companies, including Saviynt, Contrast Security, Incorta, Swrve, and Skuid—partnering closely with CEOs and investors to optimize marketing and sales programs for growth and market alignment. She played a pivotal role at Coupa and Proofpoint, where she led global marketing and communications through periods of rapid expansion, guiding both companies from pre-IPO through successful public market transitions.

Earlier in her career, Tara was Head of Marketing at Zebra Technologies, overseeing global brand strategy, communications, digital presence, and demand generation across more than 50 countries. She also led marketing efforts at Navis, Ketera, and NetSuite—driving marketing strategy from early-stage growth through expansion. At NetSuite, she was instrumental in integrating sales and marketing operations, and spearheaded initiatives in rebranding from Netledger and sales growth from 4M to 40+M in 2 years.

Tara began her career in executive marketing roles at leading firms including Deloitte Consulting, Commerce One, Network Associates, and McAfee, where she led marketing during the company’s IPO. She also managed international advertising at Oracle Corporation.

Tara holds a B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles, an M.A. in Leadership from the California Institute of Integral Studies, and an M.A. in Divinity from Global Ministries University.
